Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day site execution, ensuring works are carried out as per approved drawings, project specifications, and method statements.
- Plan and allocate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor resources in coordination with the project program to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
- Direct and guide project engineers and site engineers on technical issues, sequencing of works, and resolving site execution challenges.
- Monitor and control site progress against the approved baseline program, identify delays, and implement recovery actions in coordination with the planning team.
- Review and approve detailed method statements, ITPs, and work procedures submitted by the project team or subcontractors.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements on site, in collaboration with the HSE department.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors for inspections, approvals, and resolution of site-related technical queries.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship quality, adherence to design details, and proper use of materials.
- Resolve site conflicts between disciplines (civil, MEP, finishes) to ensure smooth execution and avoid rework.
- Monitor the performance of site engineers and foremen, provide technical mentoring, and ensure accountability for assigned works.
- Ensure timely submission of shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and other project documentation relevant to site execution.
- Liaise with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment as per site requirements.
- Manage and control variations and change orders arising from site conditions or client instructions, coordinating with the commercial/quantity surveying team.
- Ensure proper coordination and interface between structural works, architectural finishes, and MEP works during execution stages.
- Review as-built drawings prepared by site engineers and ensure accurate documentation of site changes.
- Report regularly to the Project Manager on site progress, risks, resource requirements, and technical issues affecting execution.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- 13 or more years of experience in building construction including at least 7 years in Dubai.
- Proven track record of delivering high-rise residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use developments
- Strong familiarity with UAE authority approval processes (Trakhees, DDA, Dubai Municipality etc.)
