Construction Manager

Construction Manager will be responsible for overall management, supervision, and coordination of construction activities for a PMC infrastructure project involving roads, bridges, and tunnels. The role ensures construction works are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, schedule, quality standards, and client requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of construction plans, schedules, and methodologies.
  • Coordinate construction activities across roads, bridges, and tunnel works to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Monitor progress and ensure adherence to project timelines and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control and assurance requirements.
  • Monitor implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards on site.
  • Conduct safety audits and risk assessments and implement corrective measures.
  • Oversee day-to-day construction operations and provide guidance to site engineers and supervisors.
  • Ensure proper coordination among all disciplines including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, ITS, and landscape.
  • Resolve site issues, technical challenges, and conflicts promptly.
  • Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and client representatives.
  • Ensure contractors comply with contractual obligations and project specifications.
  • Participate in technical meetings, site inspections, and progress review meetings.
  • Monitor construction costs and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and minimize wastage.
  • Approve site resource requirements and verify proper utilization.
  • Support claims, variations, and cost tracking as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, inspections, progress reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Prepare periodic reports on construction progress, risks, and mitigation measures.
  • Support audits, authority inspections, and client reporting requirements.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in construction management for major infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience on roads, bridges, and tunnel projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality control procedures.
  • Familiarity with international standards, codes, and local authority regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
