Construction Manager

Construction Manager – Infrastructure Work Projects

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead and oversee the execution of MEP projects, with a strong focus on pump stations, water infrastructure, and utility projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and supervise all construction activities from project commencement to completion.
  • Coordinate and monitor civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works at the project site.
  • Ensure construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and quality standards.
  • Lead site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and construction teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of works.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and authorities on construction-related matters.
  • Review and approve work schedules, method statements, and construction plans.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, company policies, and applicable regulations.
  • Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to minimize delays and cost overruns.
  • Review material requirements and coordinate timely procurement and delivery.
  • Attend project meetings and prepare progress reports.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of construction management experience in pump stations, water infrastructure, utility, or MEP projects. Continuous employment of at least five (5) years with the current or previous employer is preferred.
  • Previous experience on TAQA, ADDC, AADC, ADSWS, or other UAE utility authority projects is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management, project planning, and execution.
  • Good understanding of contract administration, FIDIC contract conditions, and project documentation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of Primavera P6 and AutoCAD is an advantage.
  • Valid UAE driving license is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in pump stations, water distribution, wastewater, or utility infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with testing, commissioning, and authority inspections.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and coordination skills.
