Construction Manager - Civil

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Construction Manager (Civil) to lead and oversee all civil construction activities for a prestigious mega project in Makkah. The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 20 years of proven experience in large-scale construction projects, particularly in high-rise towers, luxury hotels, or mega mixed-use developments.

The Construction Manager will be responsible for managing overall site operations, supervising multidisciplinary construction teams, ensuring timely project delivery, maintaining quality and safety standards, and coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all civil construction activities on site from initiation to project completion.
• Oversee project execution to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedule, and contractual requirements.
• Manage and supervise site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and construction teams.
• Ensure effective coordination between civil, architectural, MEP, and finishing activities.
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to achieve project milestones.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and project management teams regarding technical and construction matters.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards, HSE regulations, and Saudi construction requirements.
• Review construction methodologies, work sequences, and resource allocation plans.
• Identify and resolve technical, operational, and site-related issues efficiently.
• Monitor productivity, manpower deployment, equipment utilization, and material management.
• Participate in progress meetings and provide detailed project status reports to senior management.
• Ensure all subcontractors comply with project quality and safety standards.
• Support commercial and planning teams in achieving budget and schedule targets.
• Oversee testing, inspections, snagging, and project handover activities.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in civil construction projects.
• Mandatory experience in:
• High-rise tower projects, OR
• 5-Star hotel developments, OR
• Mega mixed-use developments.
• Proven experience managing large-scale construction teams and site operations.
• Strong knowledge of structural works, finishing works, and construction methodologies.
• Extensive experience in project coordination, scheduling, and execution management.
• Previous GCC / Saudi Arabia experience is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of international construction standards and Saudi building regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage projects under tight deadlines and challenging site conditions.
• Proficiency in MS Office and construction/project management software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on mega projects in Makkah or large hospitality developments.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification is preferred.
• Membership in Saudi Council of Engineers is preferred.
• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
