Construction Manager
As Construction Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of data center projects. Working closely with clients and our internal teams, you will coordinate and oversee various aspects of the construction process to ensure timely completion, quality standards, and adherence to budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage varying size projects from pre-contract all the way through final payment.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for the project site.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedules, and resource allocation in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively across internal teams: Solution, Engineering, Sales, Field Operations and venders (subcontractors) to ensure project is executed to contract requirements.
  • Lead resource allocation for each project between internal trade teams and subcontractors ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Perpetuate a “Safety First “mindset partnering with Safety Team to assure proper site safety maintains 100% compliance to contract, industry and Accelevation standards and expectations.
  • Review and maintain accurate project documentation (contracts, permits, and change orders).
  • Prepare and manage external project scope of work, submittals, post project deliverables, and supporting documentation/artifacts throughout project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and update all project tracking and forecasting to maintain a clear line of site to internal project stakeholders and supporting teams.
  • Implement quality control processes to ensure that all work meets regulatory and safety compliance standards.
  • Identify potential site risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets, including proper and timely escalation to both clients and internal teams.
  • Traveling to the job sites is required. Construction Managers need to be on the project site 75% of the time.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3-year track record of having managed successful construction and/or data center specific projects.
  • Experience with office software, including Word and Excel.
  • The ability to create, update, and own a scope-delineated project schedule with project scheduling software.
  • Must be proficient in reading blueprints and construction plans.
  • Must demonstrate proven success working with all levels of management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Expert time management skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Construction or Data Center build outs (Infrastructure, Low Voltage, or Electrical).
  • PMP certification, or equivalent, is a plus.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED

Physical Demands and Work Environment
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.   • Work is performed in a data center environment, which may include exposure to electrical hazards, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required by the needs of the project demands.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead.
  • Lift arms above shoulder level.
  • Lift minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Climb ladders (all types of step ladders, frame ladders, and all size extension ladders). Being able to carry and relocate up to 12 ft. step ladders by oneself. Be able to go up and down stairways daily. Perform work at various heights, up to 90 feet from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, or other safe work areas.
  • Work in restricted areas: switchgear rooms, manholes, vaults, trenches, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, and attics or other spaces required to perform electrical work.
  • Be able to wear all (PPE) Personal Protection Equipment.
  • Complete overhead work for a full day assignment.
  • Must be able to make transition from employee parking or street into construction work areas and to gain access to all levels of the building, even if the only means of access is by OSHA approved site construction ladder or stairs still under construction but acceptable and safe to use.
  • Good vision and hearing (normal or corrected). Correctly identify colors.
  • Since some projects are located where there are no places to eat lunch or obtain food you would be required to bring your lunch and any necessary snacks or drinks.
  • Able to utilize job site sanitary facilities (Porta-Johns).
