Sr Manager, Manufacturing Technology

Trinity Industries is searching for a talented team player to fill the open position of Senior Manager, Manufacturing Technology in our Dallas, Texas office.

The Senior Manager– Manufacturing Technology leads initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and integrate new technologies while overseeing a team of Business Analysts and collaborates with other departments to meet company goals.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist in the creation and execution of a comprehensive technology strategy that supports the company's manufacturing objectives and long-term goals
  • Identify emerging technologies and trends that can be leveraged to improve manufacturing processes and outcomes
  • Provide positive, example-based leadership to the technology team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Supervise the recruitment, development, and performance management processes for the technology team
  • Facilitate collaboration and communication within the team as well as with other departments
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects within the manufacturing sector
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
  • Monitor project progress, address any issues, and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including operations, engineering, IT, supply chain, and quality assurance, to understand business needs and align technology initiatives accordingly
  • Communicate technology strategies and project updates to senior leadership and other stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Stay abreast of industry advancements and best practices, integrating them into the company's technology roadmap

What you’ll need:

  • BA/BS in industrial engineering, information technology/CIS, supply chain or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing or technology leadership roles with a proven track record of successful project delivery
  • Prior success in developing and executing long term technology strategies and driving for results
  • Ability to manage highly performing technical teams in a dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of manufacturing technologies such as MES, ERP, WMS, SCADA, IIoT, and automation tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with cross functional teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities
