CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ACCOUNTANT

We are seeking a Construction Project Accountant to support project teams across all locations by managing financial processes, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring effective coordination between accounting, project management, and vendors.

Position Details

· Full-time - Office

  • Classification: Hourly / non-exempt
  • Location: Martel HQ - Bozeman, MT

Key Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with Project Managers across all locations to support project accounting functions

· Assist project teams with any questions or needs related to the accounting department.

· Manage invoices, payments and compliance for subcontracts and purchase orders.

· Assist the accounting team with various activities as needed.

· Maintain project related records in SAGE accounting software, including subcontracts and change orders

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.

· Ability to manage office functions and assigned personnel responsibilities.

· Ability to review internal accounting practices and results.

· Team building ability (within the office financial structure).

· Ability to function as a “team” player with a management team consisting of diverse backgrounds and professional experience.

Qualifications:

· Degree in accounting, business or finance is preferred but not required.

· Experience in the Construction Industry is preferred but not required.

· Experience with Sage software is preferred but not required.

· Very proficient with all Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel) and Adobe.

· Strong problem solving and analytical skills required.

· Must be an effective communicator.

· Must have a valid driver’s license.

· Must be able to operate typical office technology, such as a computer, copier, printer, and calculator.

Compensation:

· Compensation range: $65,000 - $75,000 D.O.E.

· Paid Time Off: This position is eligible for paid time away from work in which to relax, take care of personal matters, and observe holidays. This position earns 15 days of paid vacation.

· Mobile Phone: We will provide or reimburse you for your monthly phone services that may be used for a reasonable amount of personal and business purposes.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
