Job Title: Construction Project Associate

Location: Register, Georgia (100% onsite)

Job Type: Full-time, Contract-to-Hire (2 years)

Salary: $45,000-$60,000/year ($22-28/hour)

Job Description:

The Construction Project Associate is proactive and detail-oriented, providing essential support to the Project Manager to ensure smooth and successful project execution from start to finish. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on construction experience and potentially transition to another department upon project completion.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Project Support: Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to maintain clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitoring: Track project progress, expenses, and milestones; prepare updates and reports for the Project Manager and stakeholders.
  • Documentation: Manage and organize contracts, permits, drawings, and change orders to ensure accuracy, compliance, and easy retrieval.
  • Site Oversight: Conduct regular site visits to verify that work meets specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Bilingual Communication: Translate and communicate in both English and Korean to ensure effective coordination with bilingual clients, vendors, and project teams, reducing miscommunication and promoting project efficiency.
  • Issue Resolution: Assist in identifying and resolving project-related issues promptly and effectively.
  • Administrative Support: Schedule meetings, prepare reports, and maintain project files and documentation.
  • Learning & Growth: Develop a solid understanding of construction processes, techniques, and regulations, demonstrating adaptability and readiness for future opportunities within the organization.

Qualifications Required:

  • Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Korean to support communication across multicultural teams, contractors, and clients.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and AutoCAD.
  • Blueprint Literacy: Ability to read and interpret building plans and drawings.
  • Mobility: Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Learning Attitude: Openness to learn new processes and take on new challenges.
  • Organization: Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.
