Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Purchasing Manager based in Bambolim, Goa. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, labour, and subcontractor services required for construction projects.

The role involves vendor and subcontractor development, labour sourcing, contract finalization, inventory planning, and coordination with site, planning, and accounts teams to ensure smooth and timely execution of works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and procure construction materials, skilled/unskilled labour, and subcontractors for various trades (civil, finishing, MEP, waterproofing, fabrication, etc.)
  • Identify, onboard, and maintain a database of vendors, labour contractors, and subcontractors
  • Negotiate rates, payment terms, contracts, and work orders for materials, labour, and subcontract works
  • Coordinate with site engineers and project managers for labour and subcontractor deployment as per work schedules
  • Ensure timely availability of labour, subcontractors, and materials at site to avoid delays
  • Monitor vendor, labour contractor, and subcontractor performance on quality, timelines, safety, and cost
  • Manage inventory levels and material consumption as per BOQ and project requirements
  • Track market rates for materials, labour, and subcontract works and optimize procurement costs
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders, work orders, and rate contracts
  • Coordinate with accounts team for billing, GRNs, measurements, and payment processing
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety norms, and statutory requirements
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project budgets and company standards

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in procurement of construction materials, labour, and subcontractor services
  • Strong knowledge of construction workflows and site execution requirements
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
  • Experience in handling labour contractors and subcontractors
  • Proficiency in inventory management and procurement planning
  • Ability to analyze market trends and rate fluctuations
  • Strong communication, coordination, and follow-up skills
  • Good command over procurement software, Excel, and ERP tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Construction industry experience is mandatory / highly preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹17,851.55 - ₹32,000.00 per month
