Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and oversee daily site activities, ensuring all civil works are executed in strict compliance with project drawings, technical specifications, and contract requirements.
- Coordinate effectively with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives to ensure timely execution and achievement of project milestones.
- Prepare accurate daily logs, weekly updates, and monthly progress reports, clearly highlighting achievements, issues, delays, and corrective actions.
- Identify potential project risks, constraints, or conflicts and propose timely mitigation measures to minimize impacts on project delivery.
- Conduct routine site inspections and quality checks to verify workmanship, construction methods, and materials meet QA/QC standards.
- Review, comment, and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals to ensure alignment with technical and project specifications.
- Enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance, ensuring safe work practices and adherence to safety regulations across the site.
- Support procurement and cost management activities, including material follow-ups, budget monitoring, and preparation of interim payment applications.
- Provide technical solutions and guidance to site teams, supervisors, and foremen to resolve construction challenges promptly.
- Maintain accurate project records, including as-built drawings, inspection requests, NCRs, RFIs, site correspondence, and progress logs.
- Actively participate in site coordination and client meetings, presenting updates on project progress, technical concerns, and action plans.
- Promote efficiency and innovation through value engineering, cost optimization, and continuous improvement practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- 8- 12 years of professional experience in civil construction and site supervision (residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office applications, and scheduling software (Primavera P6 / MS Project).
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, QA/QC procedures, and local authority regulations.
- Familiarity with contract administration processes, technical documentation, and project approval workflows.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach to site challenges.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver under tight deadlines in high-pressure environments.
- GCC work experience and a valid driving license are preferred.
