POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Construction Superintendent/Site Manager reports to the Director – Modular Installation and will be responsible for leading field construction teams for all TAS sites.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with Aftermarket Service department leadership to develop site staffing plans
  • Follow the instruction of the Director – Modular Installation to develop, train and manage all site construction personnel
  • Work closely with site EHS Manager to develop and enforce safety plan for all jobsites
  • Oversee the work of the Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Superintendents and Office Manager at each TAS jobsite
  • Work closely with Site QA/QC Leads and oversee industry standard records for each project
  • Collaborate with clients, General Contractors and TAS Aftermarket leadership to develop and maintain site construction budgets and schedules
  • Attend all site meetings with clients and General Contractors
  • Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials and other project costs
  • Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers
  • Create schedules for workers and subcontractors and hire subcontractors as required for each site
  • Meet with clients to discuss schedules, progress and any site related issues and lead any resolution efforts required
  • Review Division of Responsibilities matrix with clients and General Contractors
  • Attend model reviews on all new products with engineering to provide installation input
  • Work with Engineering to develop standard installation drawing sets
  • Maintain daily log for jobsite operations and report to Management as necessary
  • Provide lessons learned feedback to Aftermarket leadership
  • Any other task and responsibility assigned by TAS
JOB SKILLS
  • Excellent collaboration, communication (both verbal and written) leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work as a collaborative team with department leadership and client’s management
  • Ability to develop and foster key relationships with general contractors, suppliers and owners, that result in smooth operations at customer sites and repeat business opportunities
  • Proven proficiency with MS Office and construction management software
EDUCATION & TRAINING
  • High School diploma plus extensive construction experience
  • Mechanical and Electrical licenses are a plus
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • 20 years of experience in heavy electrical or mechanical equipment installation
  • 10 years of modular construction and Installation experience
  • 10 years of project/program management
  • Proven track record of collaborating with technical organizations and joint proposal development
  • Ability to travel domestically on short notice
  • High energy, driven individual that communicates and interacts well in a team environment
  • Results oriented individual with good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
  • 10+ years managing site construction and installation teams
  • Proven track record of building site construction teams
  • Experience developing site safety programs is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Position is at least ~50% at a desk working with computer and ~50% travel developing potential customer relationships and/or coordinating TAS project site teams and customer contractors. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Performs other physical activities including use of fingers, sitting, stooping, bending, crouching, talking, hearing and performing repetitive motions. Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision necessary to prepare and analyze data and figures, operate a computer terminal and conduct extensive reading. The incumbent will be subject to inside environmental conditions and outdoor construction site environmental conditions.
