Construction Supervisor

Construction Supervisor (Mechanical – Storage Tanks / Oil & Gas Projects)

Qualification

* Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

* Good computer skills (project software / SAP knowledge preferred)

* Strong English communication (written & spoken)

* Good problem-solving and decision-making skills

* QatarEnergy PTW Level 1 (mandatory)

* Valid Qatar light vehicle/pick-up driving license

Experience

* Minimum 8 years in oil & gas / petrochemical construction or installation

* At least 3 years in mechanical construction or commissioning

* Minimum 5 years experience in erection and repair of large welded storage tanks

* Strong knowledge of API 620 / 650 / 653 and related tank standards

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise daily contractor activities during tank rehabilitation (cleaning, desludging, repair works)

* Ensure all work follows QatarEnergy PTW system, safety rules, and contract requirements

* Inspect contractor and subcontractor work for quality, safety, and compliance

* Coordinate with welding, electrical, instrumentation, civil, and corrosion teams

* Monitor progress through site visits, meetings, and reports

* Ensure safe working practices and proper site housekeeping

* Verify contractor invoices against contract rates and quantities

* Support punch list preparation and ensure all items are closed before final handover

* Prepare and contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports

* Perform any additional tasks assigned by management
