Construction/Project Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator with Construction experience to join our team! The ideal candidate would play a crucial role in preparing accurate and competitive bids for our diverse projects. This individual would ideally be proactive, self-motivated and thrives under guidance but also excels working independently. Recent growth has led to opportunities to join our established General Contractor specializing in hospitality, multifamily, and commercial renovation projects across multiple states.

Position Overview

The Estimator will lead the preconstruction and estimating process for multiple projects, from conceptual budgets to final bids.
This role requires solid knowledge of divisions 1–12, with emphasis on interior finishes, renovations, façade restoration, and MEP coordination, as well as the ability to interpret incomplete drawings and create accurate take-offs under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, cost breakdowns, and estimates for commercial and hospitality projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and addenda to identify scope gaps, value engineering opportunities, and risk factors.
• Coordinate and solicit pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive and complete coverage of all trades.
• Develop and maintain bid tabs, clarifications, and scope summaries for presentation to ownership and project managers.
• Work closely with the Preconstruction Manager, Project Managers, and Business Development teams to align budgets with client expectations.
• Support in the preparation of RFP responses, proposal letters, and schedule-based cost analyses.
• Maintain historical cost data and contribute to improving internal estimating templates and processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction estimating (preferably with hospitality or multifamily focus).
• Strong proficiency in Bluebeam, Excel, Microsoft Project, and Togal.AI.
• Solid understanding of CSI divisions, means and methods, and labor/material productivity rates.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• A detail - oriented team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills; English proficiency required, Spanish bilingual preferred.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
• Familiarity with self-perform scopes such as demolitions, renovations, and finishes.
• Knowledge of value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Estimating experience in both renovation and ground-up projects.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
