We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Construction Procurement Assistant to support our procurement team in sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects. The role involves assisting in vendor coordination, purchase order processing, documentation, and ensuring timely delivery of quality supplies to meet project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing and procuring construction materials, tools, and services as per project requirements.
- Prepare, process, and track purchase orders, quotations, and invoices.
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain and update procurement records, vendor databases, and inventory logs.
- Assist in negotiating prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with site teams to avoid shortages or delays.
- Support in evaluating supplier performance and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in procurement practices.
- Provide administrative support to the Procurement Manager/Officer as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in procurement, supply chain, or construction-related purchasing preferred.
- Knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment is an advantage.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
