Job Summary

A Consultant Cardiologist at Noble Hospital is responsible for providing expert clinical care in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cardiovascular diseases. The role involves managing patients across outpatient, inpatient, and critical care settings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring delivery of high-quality, evidence-based cardiac care while adhering to hospital protocols and patient safety standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Clinical Care

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, including ischemic heart disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular diseases, and hypertension.
  • Conduct detailed clinical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., ECG, ECHO, stress tests, Holter).
  • Formulate individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
  • Provide inpatient care, including rounds in cardiology wards, CCU, and ICU as required.
  • Perform or interpret advanced procedures .

2. Outpatient Services

  • Conduct structured outpatient consultations with accurate documentation.
  • Provide second opinions and risk stratification.
  • Recommend lifestyle changes and preventive cardiology strategies.

3. Emergency & Critical Care

  • Participate in emergency response for cardiac emergencies, including acute coronary syndromes, arrhythmias, and cardiac arrest.
  • Provide expert cardiac support in critical care units.

4. Interdisciplinary Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with other specialists .
  • Coordinate care plans with allied health professionals such as physiotherapists, dietitians, and nursing staff.

5. Procedures (Optional Based on Training)

  • Interpret diagnostic imaging (ECHO, TEE).
  • Supervise and/or perform procedures such as transradial catheterization (if certified), pacemaker evaluations, cardioversion etc.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and procedure protocols.

6. Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to clinical governance, hospital policies, and ethical standards.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, timely notes, and legible prescription entries.
  • Participate in morbidity and mortality meetings, case reviews, and audits.
  • Report adverse events and sentinel events as per policy.

7. Teaching, Training & Research

  • Mentor residents, interns, nursing staff, and junior doctors.
  • Participate in CME, academic forums, and clinical research activities.
  • Present at clinical conferences and contribute to hospital publications.

8. Administration

  • Attend departmental and hospital meetings.
  • Assist in developing protocols and standard operating procedures for cardiology services.
  • Contribute to clinical pathways and guidelines implementation.

9. Patient Experience & Communication

  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and families.
  • Explain diagnoses, treatment plans, risks, benefits, and alternatives.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and respect cultural diversity.

Qualifications

  • Essential:
  • MBBS with MD/DNB in Cardiology or equivalent recognized qualification.
  • Valid Medical Council registration (State/AIIMS/NMC/Professional council license).
  • Desirable:
  • Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology / ECHO / Non-Invasive Imaging (if applicable).
  • BLS/ACLS certification.

Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of clinical cardiology experience (post-qualification) preferred, including experience in tertiary care settings.
  • Proven expertise in outpatient care, inpatient management, and acute cardiac care.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹337,671.26 - ₹637,773.74 per year
