Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon

Apex Health is seeking for a highly skilled & motivated Cardiothoracic Surgeon Consultant.

Job Description: The Cardiothoracic Surgery Consultant will focus on providing expert surgical care for patients with cardiovascular and thoracic conditions, overseeing surgical procedures, leading a team of medical professionals, and contributing to the development of departmental strategies for clinical excellence.

Requirements:

• Medical Degree (MD or equivalent)
• Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Proven experience as a primary/first surgeon
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience, including at least 3 years in a governmental or teaching hospital
• Updated and signed surgical logbook
• Preferably holding a DHP license or eligibility/evaluation approval
• Arabic speaker preferred

Responsibilities

• Leads and performs simple & complex cardiothoracic surgeries.
• Manages preoperative, operative, and postoperative care of cardiothoracic patients.
• Performs minimally invasive cardiothoracic surgeries where appropriate, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and outcomes.
• Develops individualized treatment plans for each patient, considering their specific clinical conditions and medical history.
• Participates actively in clinical rounds, case discussions, and departmental meetings.
