Acuity is seeking experienced Legal Contract Specialists on a contractual basis to support a critical Contract Remediation Project focused on ensuring compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and evaluating applicable exemptions under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) regulations. This role requires professionals with strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and familiarity with privacy regulations affecting financial institutions

The selected candidates will work closely with US Based Baking Client's compliance, legal, and vendor management teams to assess, remediate, and monitor third-party contracts to ensure regulatory alignment and mitigate privacy-related risks.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyze a portfolio of vendor contracts and business arrangements to help drive compliance with privacy and financial information standards.
  • Identify, interpret, and apply relevant statutes and regulatory requirements such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) as directed by internal protocols and legal guidance.
  • Prepare documentation and high-level summaries that support contract risk review, classification, and remediation planning.
  • Assist in drafting, organizing, and maintaining standardized materials, communications, and procedural documentation relevant to contract management workflows.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and project teams to support the amendment process and related compliance monitoring objectives.
  • Support ongoing documentation and reporting for compliance activities, participating in meetings and status updates as needed.
  • Perform other tasks in line with the contract compliance and remediation process, as assigned by department leadership.

Required Qualifications


Education & Experience

- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school OR Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Business, Compliance, or related field

- 2-5 years of experience in legal contract review, privacy compliance, vendor management, or regulatory compliance within financial services or highly regulated industries


Technical Expertise

- Strong working knowledge of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and its amendments, including obligations for businesses, service providers, and contractors

- Familiarity with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), particularly financial privacy rules, safeguards requirements, and applicable exemptions for financial institutions

- Understanding of data privacy frameworks, including consumer rights (access, deletion, correction, opt-out), data processing principles, and breach notification requirements

- Experience reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, particularly vendor agreements, service level agreements, and data processing addendums

- Experience with contract lifecycle management systems and legal technology platforms

- Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and compliance monitoring frameworks
