Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Configuration Analyst to support the configuration and deployment of Siemens Opcenter MOM (Manufacturing Operations Management) solutions in a discrete manufacturing environment. This role involves managing manufacturing master data, configuring MOM modules, supporting integration activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable accurate and efficient production execution.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the configuration and deployment of Siemens Opcenter MES modules (Execution Discrete, Quality, APS, etc.) to meet business and manufacturing process requirements.

Collaborate with process engineers, IT, and MES developers to gather and analyze production, quality, and performance data requirements.

Configure manufacturing objects such as BOMs, routings, operations, work centers, equipment, materials, and parameters within the Opcenter MOM system.

Maintain and manage ISA-95 Level 3 data models for production operations.

Analyze and validate configuration changes, ensuring adherence to internal standards and version control practices.

Document all configuration elements including setup steps, testing scenarios, and environment-specific notes.

Work with integration teams to support data flow between ERP systems (e.g., SAP), PLM, SCADA, and other shop floor systems.

Participate in system testing, UAT, and issue resolution during MES implementation and upgrades.

Assist in end-user training and support for newly deployed MES functionalities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

3–5 years of experience in manufacturing IT, MES/MOM systems, or production systems support.

Minimum of 1–3 years’ hands-on experience with Siemens Opcenter (or SIMATIC IT) configuration in a manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of discrete manufacturing processes such as assembly, quality control, work instructions, and production traceability.

Familiarity with configuration in MES environments — including master data management, resource modeling, and production execution logic.

Working knowledge of SQL, XML, and experience working with MES scripting or UI customization is a plus.

Exposure to ISA-95, GMP, or LEAN manufacturing practices.

Ability to work collaboratively with IT, production, and business teams in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in industries such as automotive, aerospace, machinery, or electronics.

Siemens certifications or training in Opcenter Execution or related modules.

Knowledge of ERP-MES integrations, especially with SAP (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs).

Agile project exposure (Scrum, SAFe) and documentation skills using tools like Confluence or Jira.
