Consultant, Digital Product Strategy – Group Health

Are you passionate about being part of a team at a Fortune 100 company with nearly $70 billion in annual sales that delivers extraordinary care to help individuals and businesses prepare for and protect their future? If so, then Nationwide Financial could be the place for you! At Nationwide®, “on your side” goes beyond just words. Our customers and partners are at the center of everything we do and we’re looking for associates who are passionate about delivering extraordinary care.

We’re hiring a Consultant, Digital Product Strategy – Group Health to define the what and why of our digital experience for agents, brokers, and members. In this brand-new, fully remote individual contributor role, you’ll partner closely with the Group Health Product leader and a dedicated Product Owner to shape and prioritize digital initiatives—spanning portals, quoting and implementation tools, and other experiences that make it easier to do business with Nationwide.

You’ll center the user experience in everything you do: mapping workflows, uncovering pain points on the front end, and understanding the downstream operational impact behind the scenes. You’ll translate those insights into clear business cases and priorities for IT, track a portfolio of projects, proactively surface risks and blockers, and help drive an agile, iterative delivery approach.

Ideal background:

  • Experience shaping digital products or workflows with a strong user experience and process lens; health plan or group benefits experience is a plus but not required.
  • Systems thinker who understands how changes in one part of the ecosystem impact other teams, tools, and processes; comfortable working within existing platforms (e.g., configuring portals or enterprise systems) to improve experiences.
  • Proven project or program management skills—keeping multiple initiatives moving, monitoring progress and risk, and escalating issues early to protect timelines and outcomes.
  • Background in agile, fast-moving organizations where iterative delivery, experimentation, and continuous improvement are part of the culture.

This role is open to fully remote work.
