Woodston Personnel is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant in General Pediatrics to join our client’s multidisciplinary pediatric team. The successful candidate will provide expert clinical care for infants, children, and adolescents, ensuring the highest standards of medical practice, safety, and patient experience. You will play a key role in delivering inpatient and outpatient services, leading junior staff, and contributing to the ongoing development of paediatric care within our hospital. Main Duties and Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of acute and chronic paediatric conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Lead ward rounds and coordinate the care of children admitted to the paediatric ward and high-dependency unit, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
Deliver acute care for paediatric emergencies, including the stabilisation and initial management of critically ill children before transfer if required.
Conduct general paediatric outpatient clinics and follow-up appointments, including management of developmental, behavioural, and growth-related concerns.
Provide consultation to other departments, including the emergency department, maternity, and surgical teams, on paediatric-related issues.
Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely medical records in accordance with professional and institutional standards.
Provide clinical leadership within the department and act as a role model for professionalism and excellence in patient care.
Supervise and support junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff in their daily clinical duties, ensuring appropriate training and development.
Participate in the on-call rota, offering consultant-level coverage for acute admissions and emergency presentations.
Contribute to departmental decision-making, strategic planning, and policy development to enhance paediatric services.
Teach and mentor undergraduate medical students, paediatric trainees, and nursing staff.
Deliver formal teaching sessions, case discussions, and simulation-based learning within the department.
Support continuing professional development (CPD) activities and participate in clinical appraisal and revalidation processes.
Participate in clinical audit, morbidity and mortality meetings, and quality improvement initiatives to ensure continual enhancement of patient outcomes.
Contribute to or initiate research and academic activities where possible, promoting evidence-based practice in paediatric medicine.
Ensure compliance with institutional governance, safety, and accreditation standards.
Uphold the highest standards of medical ethics, patient confidentiality, and professional integrity.
Foster a culture of teamwork, respect, and open communication within the paediatric service.
Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain licensure.

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
US Board/ FRCS - Irish, UK, Canadian, New Zealand or Australian/ Diploma d'Etudes Specialises (DES)/ CIS French Board/ Fachart & Sub- Board/ Fellowship / Board / Fellowship / Sweden / Belgium / Finland / Spain
Minimum of 3–4 years experience after being certified by a specialty board
Eligible for consultant licensure with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
