We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant General Surgeon with expertise in Acute Care Surgery to join a leading hospital in Jeddah. The role involves managing complex surgical emergencies, performing elective and trauma-related procedures, and contributing to clinical leadership, education, and quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert surgical care for acute abdominal, trauma, and general surgical conditions.
• Perform emergency and elective procedures including laparotomies, hernia repairs, cholecystectomies, and bowel resections.
• Lead the acute surgical response team and participate in trauma resuscitation and operative management.
• Collaborate with emergency medicine, ICU, radiology, and other specialties for multidisciplinary care.
• Supervise and mentor residents, fellows, and junior staff.
• Participate in surgical audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, and CME activities.
• Ensure compliance with SCFHS standards and hospital protocols.
• Contribute to departmental planning, on call scheduling, and clinical governance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Board Certification in General Surgery (e.g., Saudi Board, Arab Board, American/Canadian/European equivalent).
• Fellowship or substantial experience in Acute Care Surgery or Trauma Surgery preferred.
• Valid Consultant classification with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
• Minimum 4-5 years post board experience in general and emergency surgical care.
• Proficiency in laparoscopic and open surgical techniques.
• Strong leadership, decision making, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an asset.
