Job Title: Consultant – Obstetrics and Gynecology

Job Summary:

The Consultant – Obstetrics and Gynecology is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to women, focusing on pregnancy, childbirth, reproductive health, and related disorders. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing obstetric and gynecological conditions, performing surgeries, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care in alignment with hospital protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide outpatient, inpatient, and emergency obstetric and gynecological services.
• Conduct antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care, including management of high-risk pregnancies.
• Perform obstetric and gynecological surgeries such as cesarean sections, hysterectomies, laparoscopies, and other relevant procedures.
• Diagnose and manage reproductive health issues, menstrual disorders, infertility, menopause, and related conditions.
• Offer counseling and education on family planning, contraception, and preventive health care for women.
• Coordinate with neonatology, anesthesiology, and nursing teams for safe delivery and surgical outcomes.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation as per hospital and regulatory standards.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement programs, and departmental meetings.
• Provide training and guidance to junior doctors, nurses, and interns in obstetrics and gynecology practices.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in obstetrics and gynecology through continuous medical education.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: MBBS with MD/MS in Obstetrics and Gynecology from a recognized institution.
• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of post-qualification experience as a Consultant or Senior Specialist.
• Licensure: Valid registration with Medical Council of India or respective State Medical Council.
