About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Moodle Developer to design, develop, customize, and maintain e-learning platforms based on Moodle LMS. The role requires hands-on expertise in PHP, MySQL, Moodle plugins, and theme customization, along with the ability to collaborate with instructional designers and content teams to deliver engaging digital learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, configure, and maintain Moodle-based learning platforms.

Customize Moodle plugins, blocks, and themes to meet business requirements.

Integrate Moodle with third-party systems, APIs, and other enterprise tools.

Design and optimize database queries, troubleshoot performance issues, and ensure scalability.

Collaborate with instructional designers, content developers, and business stakeholders to implement new features.

Ensure platform security, perform regular updates, patches, and backups.

Support end-users by resolving technical issues and providing guidance.

Document technical processes, configurations, and custom developments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

3–5 years of proven experience in Moodle development.

Strong expertise in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX.

Experience in Moodle plugin development and customization.

Knowledge of Moodle architecture, APIs, and database schema.

Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git).

Hands-on experience in integrating Moodle with external applications (e.g., HRMS, payment gateways, video platforms).

Understanding of SCORM/xAPI and e-learning standards.

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Good communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have (Optional)

Experience with cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines for Moodle applications.

Exposure to other LMS platforms or e-learning tools.

Understanding of UX/UI design principles for e-learning portals.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
