Job Description – Consultant Pediatrician:

Position Title: Consultant Paediatrician

Role Overview:

The Consultant Paediatrician will be responsible for providing specialized medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, ensuring accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and compassionate care. The role also involves preventive healthcare, vaccination programs, patient education, and multidisciplinary collaboration to achieve the highest standards of clinical care.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient paediatric care, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.

· Conduct regular health check-ups, growth monitoring, and developmental assessments.

· Manage emergency paediatric cases including acute illnesses, injuries, and critical care needs.

· Advise on vaccination schedules and preventive healthcare measures.

· Collaborate with other specialists, nurses, and allied healthcare staff to ensure holistic care.

· Counsel and educate parents/guardians on child health, nutrition, and wellness.

· Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols and statutory guidelines.

· Participate in hospital clinical audits, CME programs, and quality improvement initiatives.

· Support training of junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• MBBS with MD/DNB in Paediatrics from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 3–7 years of post-PG experience in a multispeciality or tertiary care hospital.
• Valid Medical Council Registration.
• Strong knowledge of paediatric emergency protocols and vaccination guidelines.

Job Description – Consultant Neonatologist

Position Title: Consultant Neonatologist

Department: Neonatology / NICU

Reports To: Medical Director

Location: Hosur

Role Overview:

The Consultant Neonatologist will be responsible for providing specialized medical care to newborns, especially critically ill and premature babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The role requires expertise in advanced neonatal care, family counseling, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide advanced medical care to preterm, low-birth-weight, and critically ill neonates.

· Manage neonatal resuscitation, ventilation, and critical care procedures in NICU.

· Perform regular clinical rounds, monitoring, and evaluation of neonatal cases.

· Collaborate with obstetricians, paediatricians, and other specialists for perinatal and neonatal care.

· Educate and counsel parents regarding neonatal conditions, treatment, and long-term care.

· Ensure proper infection control practices and compliance with hospital and statutory standards.

· Contribute to quality assurance programs, audits, and research activities in neonatology.

· Train and supervise NICU nurses, residents, and allied staff.

Qualifications & Experience:

• MBBS with MD/DNB in Paediatrics and Fellowship/Diploma in Neonatology (preferred).
• Minimum 3–7 years of post-PG experience in a Level III/IV NICU of a multispeciality hospital.
• Valid Medical Council Registration.
• Strong expertise in neonatal ventilation, resuscitation, and intensive care management.
