Job Title: Consultant Physician – Anesthesia (Pediatric Cardiac)

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly experienced Consultant Physician in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia for a leading government healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering expert anesthesia care for pediatric patients undergoing cardiac procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide anesthesia for pediatric cardiac surgeries and interventional procedures
• Assess patients pre-operatively and develop individualized anesthesia plans
• Monitor patients intra-operatively and manage critical care situations
• Deliver post-operative care, including pain management and recovery monitoring
• Work closely with pediatric cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, and ICU teams
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, international standards, and best practices
• Supervise and mentor junior medical staff when required
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation

Requirements:

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with specialization in Anesthesiology
• Fellowship or subspecialty training in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia
• DOH License or Eligibility as a Consultant in Anesthesia
• Minimum of 5–10 years of relevant experience in pediatric cardiac anesthesia
• Proven experience in handling complex pediatric cardiac cases
• Strong leadership, clinical, and decision-making skills

Preferred:

• Experience in a tertiary or government hospital setting
