Consultant Psychiatrist

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our mental health care team at Pak International Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated mental health professional to lead and expand psychiatric services in a supportive and collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatry, excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with a wide range of mental health disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert psychiatric diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients
• Lead and support multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) including psychologists, therapists, and social workers
• Supervise junior medical staff and postgraduate trainees.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with PMDC and institutional guidelines
• Participate in clinical audits, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with families and caregivers for holistic care planning
• Conduct mental health awareness sessions and community outreach

Eligibility Criteria:

• MBBS with FCPS (Psychiatry) or equivalent (e.g., MRCPsych, American Board), FCPS Part II Clear may also apply.
• Valid registration with Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC)
• Minimum 2+ years of post-specialization experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Previous experience in [general adult / child & adolescent / addiction / forensic / geriatric psychiatry] is a plus
