The QA Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and executing manual and automated test cases based on business and functional requirements to ensure high-quality software delivery. The role owns end-to-end test execution, defect management, and regression testing while maintaining clear documentation and reporting to support project deliverables and stakeholder visibility.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases based on business and functional requirements, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- Execute and maintain test scripts across applications including MVA, Web, iPay, My Book, and OSS/BSS web e-commerce systems.
- Track, log, and manage defects throughout their lifecycle and collaborate with development teams to validate fixes.
- Perform regression testing to ensure application stability and prevent impact on existing functionality.
- Analyze test results, verify issue resolution, and ensure all quality standards and test exit criteria are met prior to sign-off.
- Prepare, manage, and maintain test data, test cases, execution reports, and QA documentation to support project deliverables and stakeholder visibility.
- Participate in requirement reviews, test case walkthroughs, and design discussions to identify gaps and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and best practices across the testing lifecycle.
- Bring 2–3 years of hands-on experience in manual and automated testing, preferably in web and e-commerce environments.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of professional experience in software quality assurance or testing.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
- Familiarity with web-based applications, e-commerce platforms, and end-to-end testing methodologies.
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
