Business Continuity Management – Consultant / Sr. Consultant


Role Overview


Business Continuity and Crisis Management specialist based in Abu Dhabi – UAE to join our Technology Services Business Line and support the growth of the BCM practice. The successful candidate should have a good working knowledge of the following areas:

  • Business Continuity Management
  • Crisis Management
  • Disaster Management
  • IT Disaster Recovery


We are looking for proactive candidate who is willing to take responsibility and work around all aspects of cyber crisis, business continuity and disaster recovery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the engagement team members to plan the engagement and develop project charters, plan, work programs, status reports and other planning documents;
  • Perform business impact analysis (BIA) and risk assessments to quantify the impact of a major disruption to the organization's critical processes and to identify threats the organization is exposed to;
  • Work with the engagement team to develop, incident response and crisis management or business continuity strategies, frameworks, plans, policies, procedures, programs and capability as per client’s requirements in line with the defined strategy;
  • Review clients crisis management and business continuity management system documentations and identify areas of improvement;
  • Prepare, facilitate and evaluate exercises in order to enhance the preparedness of an organization to deal with disruptive events;
  • Follow-up on evolutions in the business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis management field and develop and share your knowledge;
  • Support our crisis and business continuity management specialists in the different activities on operational and strategic level; and
  • Support in the solution and business development in the field of business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis management.
  • Support the BCM consulting team to prepare proposals and identify opportunities.


Minimum Requirements

  • A recognized university degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems and Computer Science.
  • 4-7 years’ experience in Business Continuity Management and/or Crisis Management ;
  • Familiarized with the BCM standard, i.e. ISO 22301, Regulatory Frameworks/Requirements and good practice guidelines;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to interact with all levels across the organization on matters requiring a high degree of sensitivity;
  • Effective project management skills with the ability to lead projects independently.


Preferred Requirements

  • Experience as an BCM specialist or consultant in a professional services firm or similar industry will be an advantage; and
  • Certifications such as : AMBCI/BCI, DRI, ISO 22031 LI and ITILv4 will be an advantage.
