Woodston Personnel are seeking a skilled and experienced Consultant in Urology to join the international team of a premier healthcare institution in Saudi Arabia. The Consultant Urologist will provide expert clinical care in the diagnosis, management, and surgical treatment of urological conditions, with a strong emphasis on endourological procedures. The role involves delivering high-quality patient-centered care, contributing to service development, and providing leadership and mentorship to junior medical staff. The ideal candidate will have advanced training and experience in endourology, including minimally invasive management of urinary tract stones, prostate and bladder procedures, and upper tract surgeries.

Duties and Responsbilities

  • Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with urological disorders.

  • Perform a full range of endourological procedures including but not limited to Ureteroscopy (URS) and laser lithotripsy, Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), Transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) and bladder tumors (TURBT), Cystoscopy and stent insertion/removal

  • Participate in general urology outpatient clinics, ward rounds, and operating sessions.

  • Interpret imaging and laboratory investigations relevant to urological practice.

  • Manage on-call duties and emergency urological cases as per departmental rota.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care and follow-up.

  • Provide teaching, supervision, and mentorship to junior doctors, residents, and medical students.

  • Participate in continuing medical education (CME) and professional development activities.

  • Contribute to clinical research, audits, and quality improvement projects in urology.

  • Encourage evidence-based practice and the implementation of clinical guidelines.

  • Assist in the planning and development of urology services, with a focus on expanding endourological capabilities.

  • Participate in departmental meetings, morbidity and mortality reviews, and case discussions.

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety standards.

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification

US Board/ FRCS - Irish, UK, Canadian, New Zealand or Australian/ Diploma d'Etudes Specialises (DES)/ CIS French Board/ Fachart & Sub- Board/ Fellowship / Board / Fellowship / Sweden / Belgium / Finland / Spain with recognised Subspecialty Certification

Minimum of 3–4 years post-board/fellowship clinical experience in Urology

Experience/Qualification in Endourology

Eligible for consultant licensure with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
