Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Consulting CPA to join our innovative Tax Strategy Firm. Duties
- Analyze complex financial data and prepare detailed financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, utilizing accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and other financial tools.
- Develop tailored tax strategies by applying knowledge of estate planning, tax accounting, GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and securities law to minimize liabilities and maximize benefits for clients.
- Conduct thorough audits and reviews of client financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- Assist clients with mergers & acquisitions, private equity investments, and asset management strategies by providing expert analysis on financial concepts and investment opportunities.
- Prepare and interpret complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, trusts, estates, and non-profit organizations while ensuring adherence to current tax laws and regulations.
- Support clients in estate planning activities such as wills, trusts, and estate law to facilitate wealth transfer strategies aligned with their long-term goals.
- Perform account reconciliation tasks including general ledger reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, accounts payable processing, and bank statement analysis to maintain precise financial records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance initiatives to strengthen internal controls and enhance reporting accuracy.
- Provide guidance on regulatory reporting requirements related to financial services, securities law compliance, and other industry-specific standards.
- Engage in financial planning activities by analyzing budgets, forecasting cash flows, and advising on investment strategies to support client growth objectives.
Experience
- Proven experience as a CPA with a strong background in public accounting or corporate accounting roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in tax experience including tax planning, tax reporting, and compliance across various client types.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles such as GAAP and technical accounting standards like SOX compliance.
- Familiarity with accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and other financial management tools; proficiency in bookkeeping practices is essential.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately while providing actionable insights.
- Experience working with estate planning documents such as wills and trusts; understanding of estate law is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills for preparing comprehensive financial reports and presenting findings clearly to clients or stakeholders. Pay: $80,249.66 - $96,644.76 per year
