Position Summary
Level: Senior Consultant or equivalent
As a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting Services, you will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale software solutions, lead the creation of robust pipelines and manage code deployment across environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to translate functional requirements into effective deliverables, independently guiding and mentoring junior team members. Your role spans the full project lifecycle, including estimation, planning, execution, and tracking key metrics for analysis, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of solutions.

The team:
Under the GRM DSM Executive’s leadership, the Data Solutions Analyst/Developer will support analysis, design and development of Risk Data and Reporting Platform which will enable Data Management and Reporting capabilities for risk line of businesses. The analyst/developer will perform hands-on research and evaluation of data tools and develop Proof of Concepts to arrive at recommended data driven solutions. Additionally, the analyst/developer will also be responsible for processing large complex datasets, performing thematic analysis, data discovery, issue resolution and developing reporting solutions.
The key job responsibilities will be to:

Demonstrates knowledge of data solutions, data platforms, data management, governance, and reporting products.

Contributes to design and development for data management and reporting solutions such as Data Catalog, Data Lineage, Data Feeds Registry, Data Quality, Report Automation, and related data services.

Responsible for developing working prototypes, pseudo-code, and algorithms to prove architecture and design patterns for data solutions and data platform components.

Performs data analysis, profiling, data quality assessments, thematic analysis using automated solutions and develops complex datasets, reports, and dashboards.

Performs in-depth research of latest data technologies to solve business problems and derive value. For ex. Application of graph technologies for Data Lineage.

Designs APIs and data services to integrate disparate data solutions within multiple risk line of businesses and broader enterprise platforms.

Applies knowledge to perform regular assessments of the health and maturity of data & information capabilities for the Global Risk Management (GRM) domain.

Understands the end-to-end change impact by managing linkages from information capabilities to technical assets (operational + analytical)

Maintains integrated data models and data flows to understand data and its interdependencies regardless of its usage pattern.
Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

5+ years of experience in data platform/solutions and data management architecture; or if Master’s degree, 3+ years’ experience.

Strong experience driving the analysis, design and development of data solutions, data management & governance products as well as data and reporting platforms.

Working knowledge of complex design patterns, microservices, API design, data warehouse and data lakes and data pipelines.

Hands-on expertise with data technologies and computing frameworks including but not limited to, Python, Spark, Airflow, Java Springboot, Javascript and SQL.

Experience with relational and NoSQL data stores and big data environments.

Strong data analysis and profiling skills and experience with developing dashboards and automated reporting solutions.

Experience with API design and related technologies such as GraphQL.

Proven experience with developing end-end prototypes and POCs and ability to learn new technologies in short period of time.

Working knowledge for data management functions such as Data Catalog, Data Lineage, Data Marketplace, Data Quality and Feature Stores.

Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations.
Good to have

Experience with data management platform such as Collibra (preferred) or understanding of open-source frameworks such as Apache Atlas, Amundsen, Datahub, Marquez etc.

Familiarity with data storage layers / formats such as Apache Iceberg, Hudi, Delta Lake etc. as well as Parquet, JSON and Avro.

Experience with Graph processing and storage technologies such as Knowledge Graphs / Property Graphs with working knowledge of at-least one graph store such as TigerGraph (preferred).

Exposure to Linked Data / Open Data, and GenAI based data solutions is a plus.

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science / engineering, Data Science or Analytics
