What you will accomplish in this role

Summary:

The Consulting Informatics Lab Specialist provides visionary leadership and direction for a comprehensive lab informatics program at the enterprise level. This person is responsible for integrated workflow assessments, education development, data flow and analysis, and operational duties that support adoption and optimization of health information systems and clinical applications throughout our hospitals and other patient care areas

Responsibilities:

Strategy

• Lead for health information and clinical technology activities within the organization.
• Apply framework and strategy for enterprise initiatives and evaluations.
• Represent lab interests in partnerships with clinical, operational, and IT leadership to translate clinical needs into information system needs.

Delivery and operations

• Facilitate and lead technology implementations that support and enhance clinician workflow.
• Provide workflow analysis, project implementation, and operational support to facilities and divisions.
• Create and provide clear and effective communication to executive team and other stakeholders, both written and verbal.
• Develop education and training for system users.
• Serve as subject matter expert with field and corporate partners to establish and disseminate best practices for integrated technologies
• Identify highest-value opportunities to proposed solutions to clinical workflow and operational barriers, based on data and observation

• Demonstrate ongoing commitment to self-guided learning of clinical informatics, performance improvement and clinical operations
• Demonstrate ability to build strong relationships across teams and personalities

• Effective organizational and analytical skills • Proficient in Microsoft products and business intelligence tools

• Enthusiasm for improving clinician and patient experience
• Effectively manage project work, and adhere to agreed upon timelines
• Participate in ongoing professional development and growth opportunities
• Performs other duties as assigned

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor's degree, CLS/MT required
• Master's degree preferred
• 5+ years experience in clinical informatics required
• 7+ years experience in clinical practice required

• Up to 75% travel required for this role
