Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Psychiatrist to join our team in a consultative and supervisory role. This remote position offers flexibility in scheduling, making it ideal for professionals looking to balance their expertise with other commitments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatry, experience in overseeing psychiatric nurse practitioners, and expertise in outpatient care. This role involves providing high-quality mental health services, with a focus on a wide range of clinical diagnoses.

Duties (either consultation/collaboration and/or providing services)

  • Oversee and collaborate with psychiatric nurse practitioners, providing guidance and consultation on complex cases.
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for clients.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, including medication management and therapeutic interventions.
  • Provide direct psychiatric care and mental health counseling to clients as needed.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans, ensuring the highest standard of care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
  • Offer expert consultation on behavioral health interventions and strategies.

Skills

  • Expertise in psychiatry, with a strong focus on mental health treatment and supervision.
  • Experience in managing a wide range of clinical diagnoses in outpatient settings.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, psychiatric documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and patient interaction.
  • Proven ability to mentor and guide other healthcare professionals in a supervisory capacity.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with flexibility in scheduling to accommodate both the needs of the practice and your own availability.

License/Certification:

  • BC/BE (Required)
  • Medical License (Required) California

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $150,000.00 - $276,084.00 per year
