Consumer Technical Insights Assistant Manager

We are looking for an experienced Consumer Technical Insights Manager to support the execution of our innovation and new business development agenda in the GCC region.

This role is responsible for enabling the R&D and Marketing teams by conducting product/pack/proposition screening studies, mining big data from secondary data sources and generating new product/packaging ideas to build the Innovation pipeline, The role requires functional expertise and the breadth to appreciate marketing and R&D aspects of the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create the Consumer Technical Insight testing and learning plan for new product/packaging development initiatives.
• Conduct screening tests (lock approach, set up study, data analysis, report writing and presentation to internal customers/stakeholders) – for product/pack/proposition
• Mine existing database (Trends, Foods segmentation) to support ideation of new product/packaging ideas.
• Provide R&D input to Consumer Insight Team for consumer studies.
• Scope and test new ideation and prototype screening tools.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Food Science, or related field.
• 5 – 8 years of experience in Consumer Insights and Market research (preferably in FMCG or Foodservice).
• Strong interest in food trends, consumer insights, and product development.
• Strong learning and application orientation
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
• Comfortable with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
• Experience with usage of relevant software for penalty analysis, drivers of liking, path analysis, TURF, IAT, Design of Experiments etc.
• Fluent in English. Fluency in Arabic is an added advantage.
