Job Title: Container Truck/Roll Off Driver (Part Time)

Job Description: Trash Taxi of Georgia is looking for safety conscious, courteous and experienced professional Container Truck and Roll-Off swing driver to join our family waste hauling business out of our location in Acworth, GA.

I. Job Summary

Safely operates a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on swing routes.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

• Operates vehicle in accordance with the Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements as well as all local, state, and federal requirements and Company expectations for the Fleet; maintains a clean and safe vehicle.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle using utilizing standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report); notes all issues on DVIR form for corrective review/repair.
• Immediately report any unsafe situations or service calls to Dispatch or Manager before attempting service.
• Participates and cooperates in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required by the Manager.
• Works closely with leadership to improve route efficiencies and identify problems or unsafe accounts.
• Performs all duties as scheduled by Manager or Dispatch, assisting other company drivers as directed.
• Communicates customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Manager.
• All other duties assigned. Like sticker residential containers or helping with some residential needs.
• May dump frontload or other trucks
• Pick up parts and supplies

II. Minimum Job Requirements

• At least 25 years of age or older
• Valid Class A or B CDL with airbrakes endorsement
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Must be able to speak and read English well enough to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic and signals, respond to official questions, and be able to make legible entries on reports and records.
• At least 3 years of previous experience operating a Roll Off vehicle requiring a CDL within the past 7 years.
• Clean driving record
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully passed pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, background and motor vehicle records check and Department of Transportation Physical.
