Job Overview:

We’re looking for a Content and Digital Engagement Specialist to lead the charge in crafting compelling content and driving digital engagement across our channels. This role is ideal for a creative thinker who’s passionate about storytelling, understands the digital landscape, and excels at bringing fresh ideas to life. They’ll be responsible for developing content strategies, optimizing for SEO, managing social media, internal communications, and experimenting with new formats and tools to keep our brand ahead of the curve.

This role includes copywriting at a creative level, always looking to optimize digital content for search engines and to better connect with prospective customers. Beyond producing copy, the Content & Digital Engagement Specialist plays a key role pushing our creative concepts further, brainstorming new ideas in partnership with designers and digital experts, evaluating new creative apps, vendors, and technology to assist in our creative process, and helping us bring the FirstService Residential brand to life.

Your Responsibilities:

Content strategy & creation
  • Develop engaging, SEO-optimized content for web, social, and email.
  • Repurpose content across platforms to maximize reach and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with design and video teams to create multimedia assets.

Social media & community engagement
  • Manage and grow social media presence across key platforms.
  • Monitor trends and algorithm changes to adapt strategies.
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments, and build community.

SEO & performance optimization
  • Track performance.
  • Conduct keyword research and implement SEO best practices.
  • Recommend improvements based on data insights.

Creative campaign development
  • Collaborate and smart execution for campaigns, activations, and storytelling, for both internal and external communications.
  • Stay ahead of trends in content formats (e.g., reels, carousels, AI-generated content).

AI & automation integration
  • Use company-approved AI tools to streamline content creation and ideation.
  • Experiment with automation for scheduling, reporting, and engagement.


Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
  • 2–4 years of experience in content marketing, social media, or digital strategy.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a creative flair.
  • Familiarity with SEO tools and social media analytics.
  • Proactive, trend-aware, and comfortable working independently.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, journalism, English, marketing, communications, advertising, or related field.
  • Bonus: Experience with Canva, CapCut, Social media platforms, Jasper/Brightedge or similar tools.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, presentation and editing skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Understanding of digital content, formats, and social media content strategy
  • Must be able to adapt style, tone and voice to suit difference communications platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to execute on strategy; strong business acumen
  • Tech savvy, strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
