Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Content Creator to execute camera production and editing for documentary motion pictures, media, short form and podcast projects. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on camera and editing experience. As well as premiere, after effects, cap cut and a background in media production. You must be able to work in a fast paced environment who can seamlessly shoot on location camera for a growing company that is distributing content across different mediums worldwide.
Content Creator Key Responsibilities
- Execute all aspects of video production for documentaries, editing, shoots for podcasts and handle content from pre-production through delivery.
- Provide on-set support, including camera operation set up, video & audio assistance and equipment setup/breakdown as needed.
- Assist with scheduling shoots, booking cameramen, locations, securing permits when needed, and managing talent/apperance releases.
- Oversee and maintain production calendars, call sheets, and budgets provided by producers.
- Ability and willingness to travel for production shoots
- Collaborate with producers, editors, and post production supervisor to ensure smooth post-production workflows.
- Track and manage media assets, ensuring proper file organization internally, storage and metadata documentation for post production.
- Support creative development by researching stories, compiling materials, and preparing pitch decks or outlines.
- Troubleshoot production challenges in real time to keep projects on schedule.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in media production, preferably with documentaries/non-fiction media, podcasts, or other non-scripted formats.
- Proficiency with professional cameras (e.g., Sony, Arri, DSLR, Canon, or similar) and basic lighting/audio setups.
- Familiarity with editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across creative and technical teams.
- Knowledge and ability to shoot HD/4K camera and workflows is highly desirable.
- Certification or Bachelor’s degree in Media Production or equivalent professional experience preferred.
