Location: Hybrid (20 hours per week) – Includes on-site filming days in NYC as needed and 1 remote workday. This role is based in our New York office. Opportunity for full-time growth.

Sloomoo celebrates joy through an interactive experiential world, focused on slime, hands-on play, and all things #satisfying. Sloomoo launched in October of 2019 with an immersive 12,000 square-foot experience in Soho, NYC, where hand-crafted, artisanal slime (dozens of textures and the most delicious scents), soothing ASMR, and wondrous delights (you can slingshot slime, walk on slime, design your own slime, and more) converge with glossy, contemporary design.

Sloomoo’s universe has expanded - there are now a total of 5 Institutes (NYC, LA, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta) and two MiniMoos (Boston, Philadelphia) with more to come.

MiniMoos are smaller than the Institutes but packed with as much color, surprise, and play.

Position Summary

Sloomoo Inc. is seeking a passionate, innovative, and aesthetically inclined Content Creator to execute our visual identity with a focus on video-first storytelling across all brand touchpoints, especially social platforms. This role is instrumental in crafting engaging, high-quality content that strengthens our brand mission, fosters community engagement, and elevates Sloomoo Inc.'s presence digitally. The ideal candidate is a savvy video content creator and editor, deeply attuned to social trends, has a refined visual sense and curiosity for new technologies and workflows. This role will help shape the next chapter of Sloomoo Inc.’s storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Production:

• Create, star in, and edit short- and long-form content aligning with the brand's voice and messaging.
• Assist in end-to-end video production for brand owned channels (web, social media, in-experience assets) with Integrative Creative Manager, including filming, editing, sound design, and visual effects, to deliver polished, high-quality content.
• Collaborate with the Social Media Growth Manager to review monthly content calendars, align on goals and messaging, and execute culturally driven videos.
• Manage media production workflows efficiently to ensure timely content delivery across internal teams.
• Serve as the go-to content creator for the Integrative Creative Manager.
• Travel as needed for events, community activations, and other content opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

• Passionate about content creation and video production—you live and breathe content, constantly generating fresh, creative ideas.
• Move at the speed of culture, identifying and adapting to trends while staying true to Sloomoo Inc.’s unique tone of voice.
• Skilled in crafting platform-specific content optimized for engagement while experimenting with various content styles, video treatments, and creative technologies.
• Deeply knowledgeable about social media trends and best practices, especially for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively, with a proactive, self-motivated approach to meeting deadlines.
• Ready to step in front of the camera as well as directing behind the scenes to bring content to life.
• A deep understanding of social algorithms, meme culture, and online humor—you know what makes content shareable and viral.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years creating & producing digital social media content, including short-form videos.
• Experienced in video capture and editing using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, and native platform editing tools.
• As a social native, you have a deep understanding of the social media landscape, trends and platforms.
• Highly creative, versatile and out-of-box thinker.
• Passion for all things artistic and communicative media - video, photography, motion graphics, sound design, interactive storytelling, and design.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable creating content that features yourself, including showing your face, hands, and speaking to the camera.
• Availability to be on-site in NYC or in-person events 1–2 days per week for filming.

• Experience in motion graphics or animation.
• Passion for sensory-driven content, including ASMR, cinematic filming, and innovative storytelling.
