Location: Urbana, MD and various camp locations throughout Montgomery County, MD

Schedule: Seasonal position (Spring–Summer). Approximately 30–40 hours per week, with some flexibility in scheduling based on program needs and project demands. There is potential for continued work beyond the summer season based on performance and organizational needs.

Compensation: $21.00-$25.00 per hour

Reports To: CEO and Director of Marketing

Position Overview

This position is a great fit for a recent college graduate or current college senior studying marketing, communications, digital media, film, or a related field who enjoys storytelling through video and photography and wants to build a portfolio of real, high energy content. We’re happy to work with any internship programs/requirements throughout your employment- if it’s applicable to your education goals.

This role is about more than just filming camp activities. It is about telling the story of camp. From quick staff interviews and behind the scenes moments to camper excitement and spontaneous fun, you will turn everyday experiences into engaging social media content that reflects the personality of Bar-T.

You will travel to camp locations in Urbana and throughout Montgomery County, taking photos and video throughout the day and turning that content into short form media for social platforms and marketing campaigns. All equipment, software, and supplies will be provided.

The person in this role should be confident, curious, and comfortable jumping right into camp life. You should feel comfortable approaching staff for short interviews, walking around camp to find great moments to capture, and trying creative ideas that help bring our brand to life.

At Bar-T we love creative, bold, and sometimes even a little wacky ideas. If you have a fun concept for a video, we want to hear it. The goal of this role is to produce engaging content. How you get there can be flexible as long as the creativity and results are there.

You will work closely with the CEO and Director of Marketing to brainstorm ideas, highlight staff personalities, and help shape the digital voice of the Bar-T brand.
