Content Creator (YouTube + Social, Automotive)

Overview

We are not looking for a traditional videographer.

We are looking for someone who understands how content performs on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok—and can produce it consistently.

This role is about documenting real automotive work (repairs, paint, builds, customer deliveries) and turning it into high-performing content. If you don’t actively think about hooks, retention, pacing, and thumbnails, this is not a fit.

What You’ll Do

  • Capture real shop content (repairs, transformations, behind-the-scenes)
  • Edit for:
  • YouTube (long-form storytelling)
  • Instagram / TikTok (short-form, high-retention clips)
  • Structure content for performance (hooks, pacing, engagement)
  • Add captions, overlays, and light motion graphics
  • Identify content opportunities in real time (not just wait for direction)
  • Deliver consistently and quickly

What We Actually Care About

  • Retention (not cinematic shots)
  • Speed of output
  • Platform-native editing (not generic edits)
  • Understanding of:
  • hooks (first 3–5 seconds)
  • watch time
  • pacing
  • story structure

A perfectly edited video that no one watches is a failure.

AI Requirement (Non-Negotiable)

You are expected to use AI tools in your workflow, including:

  • Auto-editing / clipping tools
  • Captioning and transcription
  • Audio enhancement
  • Content ideation support

If your workflow is fully manual, you will fall behind.

YouTube Ownership Opportunity

We are building a YouTube channel as a core growth asset.

  • Opportunity to take ownership of long-form content
  • Performance-based incentives tied to growth (views, subscribers)

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (required)
  • Experience editing for YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok
  • Solid understanding of filming in real-world environments (not studio-only)
  • Ability to move fast and produce consistently

Automotive interest is a plus, not required.

Submissions without work samples will not be considered.

Application Step

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to:

  • Edit a 30–60 second clip from raw footage
  • Optimize it for social performance (hook, pacing, captions)

Pay: $26.80 - $32.27 per hour
