Job Description: Content Development Representative
Position Overview
We are looking for a Content Development Representative (CDR) to serve as a strategic storyteller, educator, and SEO authority. This individual will produce 15 long-form, SEO-optimized articles per month, while also developing supporting videos, micro-content, and structured online courses. The CDR will work across a broad intellectual landscape—covering Internet Services, Applications, Data, Users, Technologies, Transmissions, Security, Value, Impact, Transformation, Enterprise, Government, Society, Institutions, and Advancements—and ensure our organization becomes a recognized source of knowledge leadership.
This is not just a publishing role. It is a knowledge-building, traffic-driving, authority-establishing role that connects research, SEO, multimedia, and thought leadership into a cohesive growth engine.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Publishing
- Publish 15 authoritative articles per month (1,500–3,000 words each) that balance depth, readability, and SEO effectiveness.
- Develop supporting multimedia:
- Video explainers (YouTube-ready, 3–10 minutes each).
- Infographics, slide decks, and visual summaries.
- E-learning modules or micro-courses tied to core themes.
- Ensure content addresses different layers of audience sophistication: executives, practitioners, policymakers, students, and general readers.
- Expand content into evergreen pillar pages, FAQs, and topical glossaries that reinforce domain authority.
SEO Mastery & Content Architecture
- Conduct continuous keyword research using SEMrush, Ahrefs, SurferSEO, and Clearscope.
- Build topic clusters and content hubs to dominate specific knowledge domains.
- Optimize all content for:
- On-page SEO: meta data, H1–H3 hierarchy, schema markup, internal linking.
- Technical SEO: site speed, URL structure, crawlability, mobile-first design.
- Off-page SEO: guest posts, backlinks, influencer collaborations, and content syndication.
- Create a content taxonomy that aligns articles, courses, and videos into a search-friendly, user-intuitive structure.
- Monitor and report SEO progress through dashboards and regular performance reviews.
Knowledge Domains & Thought Leadership
The CDR will establish expertise across 12 interconnected domains:
- Internet Services – Cloud computing, APIs, ISPs, SaaS ecosystems.
- Applications – Enterprise solutions, AI tools, mobile platforms, consumer apps.
- Data – Analytics, governance, privacy, ethics, monetization.
- Users – UX/UI, accessibility, behavioral science, human-centered design.
- Technologies & Transmissions – Networks, telecom, IoT, quantum, 5G/6G.
- Security – Cybersecurity, identity, risk, compliance, fraud prevention.
- Value – ROI, efficiency, optimization, cost-benefit frameworks.
- Impact – Case studies, success stories, industry disruptions.
- Transformation – Digital maturity, workforce reskilling, automation.
- Enterprise – IT strategy, SaaS adoption, B2B ecosystems, vendor management.
- Government & Institutions – Policy, regulation, public-sector innovation.
- Society & Advancements – AI ethics, societal adaptation, education, healthcare, sustainability.
Each article and multimedia output will connect technical details to enterprise, societal, and institutional implications, building contextual authority.
Performance & Engagement
- Use data-driven insights to adapt content to emerging audience needs.
- Ensure each piece of content:
- Targets primary & secondary keywords with strong intent alignment.
- Achieves engagement goals (CTR, time on page, scroll depth).
- Reinforces brand authority within its domain.
- Repurpose top-performing articles into LinkedIn thought leadership posts, executive briefs, and newsletter features.
- Align content strategy with lead generation, subscriber growth, and course enrollments.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of content creation with measurable SEO success.
- Track record of publishing long-form, high-performing articles in tech, business, or policy.
- Expertise in SEO tools: SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Clearscope, SurferSEO.
- Strong research, analysis, and multimedia storytelling abilities.
- Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, HubSpot) and analytics suites (GA4, GSC).
- Familiarity with video editing, e-learning platforms, and visual content tools (Premiere, Camtasia, Articulate, Canva, etc.).
Performance Metrics (KPIs)
- Output: 15 long-form articles per month.
- SEO Rankings: Top 10 for 70%+ targeted keywords within 6 months.
- Traffic Growth: 20–30% organic growth quarter-over-quarter.
- Engagement: Average 3+ minutes on page, <50% bounce rate.
- Authority: Secure at least 10 quality backlinks per article.
- Conversions: Drive measurable increases in subscribers, course enrollments, and leads.
- Content Mix: Minimum of 2 video explainers and 1 course module per quarter.
