Position Title: Marketing Communications Specialist II
Location:  hybrid - Vienna, VA

Position Status: Contract w2
Pay Rate:  $50/hr on w2 

Position Description:

We are seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist II to create compelling, high-impact copy and content across digital and traditional channels. This role is ideal for a strategic communicator and skilled copywriter who can translate complex business and marketing objectives into clear, engaging, and brand-aligned messaging.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute marketing campaigns, support product launches, and ensure consistent brand voice across all touchpoints. This role requires a strong understanding of SEO/SEM, digital marketing, brand storytelling, and content strategy .

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop clear, concise, and compelling copy for digital marketing campaigns, web content, email, advertising, and product marketing initiatives

  • Translate marketing strategies and business objectives into consumer-friendly messaging that drives engagement and conversion

  • Ensure all communications align with brand voice, tone, and messaging standards

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, designers, and marketing teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality campaigns

  • Create and execute content strategies across multiple channels including web, email, and paid media

  • Optimize content using SEO/SEM best practices to improve search visibility and performance

  • Analyze campaign performance and metrics to refine messaging and improve effectiveness

  • Support marketing plans, campaign execution, and editorial calendars

  • Contribute to and maintain brand guidelines, messaging frameworks, and style guides

  • Provide editorial review, proofreading, and quality assurance for all marketing materials

  • Present campaign concepts, messaging strategies, and results to stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accessibility (ADA), and corporate standards

  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines

Required Skills/Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English , or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 4+ years of experience in copywriting, marketing communications, or content strategy

  • Proven experience creating copy for digital channels (web, email, paid media, social)

  • Strong understanding of brand voice, storytelling, and audience engagement

  • Experience with SEO/SEM optimization and content performance metrics

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, customer-focused messaging

  • Experience working in collaborative environments with cross-functional teams

  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Proficiency with tools such as Workfront or similar project management platforms , and standard PC applications

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in financial services, banking, or regulated industries

  • Background in agency or fast-paced creative environments

  • Experience developing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels

  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and digital analytics tools
