CONTENT OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE / MANAGER

We seek a bright, detailed operations manager to work across all platforms. Reporting to the VP Global Business Operations, the ideal candidate will work with the heads of editorial content (HEC) and key executives to support growth and revenue through controlling content operations, budgets, and resource development and management for digital, print, and work in close coordination with the Revenue team on experiential editorial initiatives across all brand products and platforms.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support editorial operations across digital, print, and experiential platforms, contributing to P&L alignment and resource planning to help meet or exceed corporate targets.
  • Optimise all creative print and digital production to be cost and resource-efficient, by continuously streamlining and structuring local and regional processes, workflow, output, and payments with editorial and supporting teams, and by leveraging individuals’ unique talents and skills. Work with production, creative, adaptation, content integrity, global content manager, and visuals teams to develop and iterate lineups, routing, asset management, fact sheets, and related.
  • Track and maintain monthly and annual content budgets and estimates across the market, coordinating with operations, editorial, creative, and financial teams. Process all contracts and content invoices, and liaise with editors to ensure contracts are current. Oversee onboarding processes and maintain relationships with various outside vendors including new contributors and freelancers.
  • Lead onboarding efforts for new tools in the market (first market testing) such as Workday, Airtable, and Content Planner . Work with global teams to refine processes, and with local users to ensure rapid, effective adoption.
  • Maintain awareness of commercial and consumer revenue content requests, ensuring alignment on sold units and approved concepts as communicated by the Head of Editorial Content. Support editorial execution of these programs while upholding editorial standards in collaboration with the Editors and relevant partners .
  • Act as an additional point person for cross-functional departments , helping answer and troubleshoot questions and identifying when to escalate to team leads.


Ideal Skills and Qualifications:


  • 5 years at a major media company or equivalent, in operations or content/project management, with demonstrated success in coordinating budgets, payments, and workflow.
  • Highly-organised, independent multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills with an eye for detail and a passion for process.
  • Strong problem-solving and time-management skills and organisational expertise.
  • Experience working in multiple CMS (content management systems).
  • This position requires financial and commercial acumen, balanced with the ability to adapt across and navigate various system platforms.
  • To succeed in this role you must be able to clearly translate the practicalities of editorial working requirements in a changing content creation environment and industry landscape, communicating through levels of hierarchy within a global matrix organisation.
