Job Description


The Content Specialist supports the day-to-day planning, execution and optimisation of social media activity across assigned client accounts. The role sits between community management and social media management, combining hands-on content and social media execution with shared responsibility for community engagement, reporting inputs, content plans, content writing and campaign support.


This is a platform-native, execution-led role designed to strengthen content quality, consistency, responsiveness and audience engagement, while supporting senior team members in delivering high-performing, culturally relevant social output for the Saudi market.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Social Media Planning & Execution

    • Execute approved social media strategies and content plans across key platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Snapchat, as relevant per account).

    • Translate brand, campaign and communications objectives into clear content calendars, posting plans and activation timelines.

    • Support the ongoing optimization of content formats, timing and platform approach based on performance and audience behavior.

    • Ensure content supports agreed objectives such as awareness, engagement, community growth and cultural relevance in KSA.

  • Content Management & Publishing

    • Prepare, schedule and publish approved social media content, including static posts, video, stories, reels and light live coverage where required.

    • Coordinate closely with designers, copywriters and production teams to ensure assets are delivered, formatted and published accurately and on time.

    • Ensure captions are accurately localised for the Saudi market, including language, tone and cultural nuance.

    • Maintain consistency, accuracy and quality across all live social media accounts.

    • Support creative ideation by contributing content references, trend examples and platform-native ideas under senior direction.

  • Community Management & Engagement (Shared Ownership)

    • Support day-to-day community management across assigned accounts, including comments, DMs, mentions and inboxes, in coordination with the Community Manager.

    • Respond promptly and professionally to audience interactions, maintaining each brand’s approved tone of voice.

    • Adhere to agreed SLAs for response times during business hours.

    • Escalate sensitive, high-risk, or reputational issues in line with Ethos protocols and senior guidance.

    • Monitor sentiment and recurring audience feedback, flagging insights, risks, or opportunities to senior team members.

    • Campaigns, Influencer & UGC Support

      • Support the execution of social media campaigns tied to launches, partnerships, events and seasonal moments.

      • Assist with influencer and creator research, shortlisting and coordination under senior direction.

      • Identify and log relevant user-generated content for potential amplification or reposting.

      • Support community engagement during campaigns and activations to maintain responsiveness and momentum.

    • Performance Tracking & Reporting Support

      • Track core social media metrics including reach, engagement, growth, views and content performance.

      • Collect raw data, screenshots and engagement inputs for weekly and monthly reporting.

      • Maintain organised engagement logs, community response sheets and campaign documentation.

      • Support the identification of trends, insights and optimisation opportunities from performance and community data.

    • Governance, Risk & Quality Control

      • Follow Ethos approval workflows, content governance processes and client-specific protocols at all times.

      • Ensure cultural sensitivity, accuracy and brand safety across all published content and community responses.

      • Flag potential reputational or operational risks early and escalate appropriately.

    • Operational Excellence & Collaboration

      • Maintain organized content workflows, file management and scheduling systems.

      • Work closely with the Content Senior Executive, Community Manager and wider account teams to ensure smooth execution.

      • Demonstrate reliability, responsiveness and accountability across multiple accounts and deliverables.

      • Contribute to improving internal social media processes, templates and ways of working where appropriate.


Qualifications

  • Bilingual Arabic and English, with strong written proficiency and cultural fluency for Saudi audiences.

  • Hands-on experience executing social media content and supporting community management in an agency or brand environment.

  • Strong understanding of Saudi social media culture, platform behaviours and audience expectations.

  • Confident working with social media tools and native platform dashboards.

  • Comfortable handling community interactions with professionalism, discretion and cultural sensitivity.

  • Detail-oriented, organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Collaborative mindset and openness to feedback, operating confidently within structured approval frameworks.

  • Collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with juniors, designers, copywriters, strategists and account teams.

  • Clear written communication skills and the ability to follow structured approval and governance processes.

  • Comfortable taking direction, implementing feedback quickly and operating within established brand and agency frameworks.
