AEL Corporate Services (AEL CS)

Job Purpose:
General Editor is responsible for the creation, review, and finalization of all English textual outputs, including speeches, reports, and corporate publications. Ensures content aligns with organizational goals, maintains editorial excellence, and adheres to branding and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
Strategic Content Oversight for English Communications:
Define and enforce editorial standards for all English textual outputs, ensuring alignment with corporate messaging and branding & review and finalize high-impact content, including speeches, reports, and executive communication, as the final approval authority.
Develop comprehensive frameworks for reviewing and refining non-marketing communications, ensuring clarity, coherence, and consistency & apply advanced linguistic and contextual expertise to elevate the quality of written materials.
Leadership In Corporate Publications
Oversee the creation, compilation, and proofing of critical corporate documents, such as integrated annual reports, sustainability reports, and EVP collateral & focus on maintaining accuracy, alignment with corporate objectives, and adherence to deadlines.
Guide the editorial process for corporate publications, ensuring that all sections are cohesive and narratively strong. & evaluate technical inputs and simplify complex information for diverse stakeholder groups.
Speechwriting And High-Level Messaging
Craft and refine high-impact speeches, executive addresses, and thought leadership articles for organizational leaders & leverage advanced research methodologies to tailor messages for specific audiences and contexts.
Ensure that leadership messaging aligns with corporate strategies and resonates with stakeholders & use storytelling techniques and data-driven insights to enhance the emotional and intellectual appeal of content.
Content Style Guide Development And Maintenance
Develop and update communication style guides to standardize tone, style, and formatting across all English content & ensure adherence to these guidelines by conducting regular audits of written materials.
Establish benchmarks for editorial excellence by integrating global best practices into the style guide & provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement based on emerging trends and audience feedback.
Evaluation Of Emerging Trends In Content Creation
Analyze evolving trends in corporate communication and content creation to recommend innovative practices & evaluate competitor strategies to identify gaps and opportunities in existing content frameworks.
Integrate emerging technologies, such as AI-driven content analysis and advanced editing tools, into editorial workflows & use insights to refine strategies and maintain leadership in content excellence.
Governance Of Non-Marketing Content Compliance
Establish protocols for reviewing and approving non-marketing content, ensuring alignment with legal, regulatory, and corporate standards & develop processes to track and rectify deviations.
Audit textual outputs periodically to assess compliance and recommend corrective actions & maintain detailed records of all editorial reviews for future reference and quality assurance.

Qualifications
Educational Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English Literature, or a related field is required.
Advanced certifications in Editorial Management, Content Strategy, or Corporate Communications are highly desirable.
Work Experience
15+ years of experience in corporate communication, content management, or editorial roles in large organizations or publishing environments is required.
Demonstrated expertise in managing high-impact content such as speeches, corporate publications, and strategic documents, along with experience in leading editorial workflows and ensuring compliance with branding standards, is crucial for this role.
