Continuous Improvement Engineer

We’re partnering with a rapidly growing client in the solar and renewables space that is scaling operations across the U.S. To support their aggressive growth strategy, they are expanding their team across various business units and are seeking a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt to lead high-impact, enterprise-level continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a manufacturing change agent who thrives on driving operational excellence and transformation on the plant floor and beyond.


Location: Fort Mill, SC

Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000/year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex, cross-functional process improvement projects with impact values exceeding $500K.
  • Coach, mentor, and certify employees in Lean, Six Sigma, and DFSS tools and methodologies.
  • Analyze and optimize material flow, warehouse layout, and develop PFEP strategies.
  • Leverage tools such as SAP, QAD, Excel macros, MES systems, and automated data collection systems.
  • Build and scale CI (Continuous Improvement) functions at the site level, including training frameworks and deployment plans.
  • Facilitate and lead Kaizen events and high-visibility improvement initiatives.
  • Translate strategic objectives into executable plans that align across multiple departments.
  • Deliver measurable impact in areas such as safety, scrap, quality, and labor – with a strong history of multi-million dollar cost savings.


Qualifications:


  • 7+ years of manufacturing-based process improvement experience.
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (DFSS, Shainin Red X, or Fast X exposure is a plus).
  • Strong leadership background in CI program design, execution, and training.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Advanced proficiency in Minitab.
  • Proven results orientation and passion for continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
