This position is responsible for The Continuous Improvement Project Coordinator will focus on optimizing the performance of the organization by initiating changes that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, improve on-time delivery, and drive business growth.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with the company’s strategic goals
  • Analyzing and understanding processes in various departments, identifying areas of waste or inefficiency
  • Developing and executing improvement strategies, including change management activities
  • Leading and facilitating cross-functional continuous improvement project teams
  • Conducting continuous improvement training and workshops for staff at all levels
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and making necessary adjustments
  • Using a range of tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Gemba Walks, 5S, or Kaizen to drive process improvements
  • Maintaining reports of continuous improvement activities
  • Encouraging a culture of continuous improvement within the organization
  • Working closely with other managers and stakeholders to ensure that changes are implemented smoothly and efficiently
  • Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.


Requirements:

  • Lean/Six Sigma certification from an accredited institution.
  • BA/BS degree in either Industrial / Manufacturing or Quality Engineering, Business Administration, or a similar focus of study with a minimum of 3 years of prior Continuous Improvement experience.
    • A minimum of 7 years of prior Continuous Improvement experience in lieu of degree
  • Significant experience facilitating Kaizen and/or rapid improvement events, in both manufacturing and office environments
  • Proficient knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, proficient with using the internet.
  • Strong communication and people management skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with other departments.
  • Knowledge of relevant assembly techniques, quality standards, and safety procedures.
  • Previous experience in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) fabrication and/or assembly, or electronics manufacturing is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of IPC-600, IPC-610, and IPC J-STD-001 is preferred.
