About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Continuous Improvement Specialist to champion process standardization and drive operational excellence across our facilities. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead initiatives focused on cost reduction, production optimization, and enhanced machining productivity. Your expertise in Lean methodologies and project management will be instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and achieving significant operational advancements.

Responsibilities
  • Spearhead continuous improvement projects, applying Lean principles to streamline operations and boost efficiency.
  • Analyze shop floor processes to pinpoint areas for enhancement, implementing data-driven solutions to optimize performance.
  • Employ Lean tools such as Kaizen and line balancing to standardize workflows and reduce changeover times.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Quantify the impact of process improvements through rigorous data analysis and financial justification.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by training and mentoring team members in Lean methodologies.
  • Support project management activities, ensuring timely and effective execution of improvement initiatives.
Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on manufacturing assembly or machining.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement methodologies, and Operational Excellence Systems.
  • Six Sigma certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with ePowertrain or driveline assembly/machining.
  • Project management experience, with prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong financial acumen to assess cost-saving opportunities and ROI.
  • Advanced communication skills.
