The Department of Specialty Courts oversees the Drug Court, Mental Health Court, and Veterans Treatment Court programs. Collectively referred to as Specialty Courts, these programs are similarly structured and supervised and have the same goal – to give participants the opportunity to overcome substance use disorder and make a positive change in their lives.
The Administrative Office of the Courts, Department of Specialty Courts, has an immediate opening for a Continuous Quality Improvement Specialist in Franklin County but will serve statewide.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE JOB: The CQI Specialist is responsible for the oversight of the quality and consistency of department initiatives, services, and implementation practices. Key elements of this role will include measuring education and professional development initiatives in the field, evaluating internal processes to assess for gaps in efficient operations and promote system integrity, analyzing the data and findings, and generate recommendations for improvement.

- Possess the ability to develop CQI audit tools consistent with departmental policy and procedures and established correctional guidelines and standards.
- Conduct evaluations of departments incorporation of overarching initiatives.
- Conduct internal analysis on implementation of administrative procedures and other department projects.
- Evaluate direct service delivery.
- Generate finding reports to department leadership based on data gathered and, or trends identified, to enable data analysis to inform programmatic policies and procedures.
- Deliver solution-focused recommendations on quality improvement in a positive, collaborative manner.
- Develop timelines and strategies to evaluation milestones.
- Facilitate CQI related educational activities for departmental staff.
- Oversee and manage improvement implementation needs in collaboration with management.
- Practice excellent time management skills.
- Participate in Implementation Science Network.
- Must be highly self-motivated and have the ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly.
- Provide strong analytical, decision-making skills to support continuous improvement.
- Ability to operate and perform duties both independently and collaboratively.
