We currently have an opportunity for a Contract Administrator . As a Contract Administrator assigned to a mega-construction project, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of legal issues on this job, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and mitigating legal risks. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and legal teams to draft, review, and negotiate construction claims.
Responsibilities:
Claim Drafting and Review:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate letters to government agencies, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Identify and address potential legal risks and issues in contracts.
Legal Compliance:
  • Stay updated on relevant construction laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Ensure that construction projects adhere to legal requirements a.
Contract Management:
  • Manage and maintain an organized system for tracking and storing contracts.
  • Monitor contract performance and ensure that all parties fulfill their contractual obligations.
Dispute Resolution:
  • Assist in the resolution of disputes arising from construction contracts.
  • Work with legal teams to address claims, disputes, and litigation.
Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
Risk Management:
  • Identify and assess legal risks associated with construction projects.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate and manage legal risks effectively.
Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation related to contracts, disputes, and legal matters.
Qualifications:
  • Experience assisting with large construction projects in a contract’s role is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree is often preferred.
  • Relevant experience in construction law or contract management.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of construction laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
